Ninja Training Program
Trinity's Ninja program is a training discipline using movement that developed from military obstacle course training. Practitioners aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Ninja training includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement, and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation. Our modern day Ninja program's development from military training gives it some aspects of a non-combative martial art.
Ninja training is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others and is usually carried out in urban spaces, though it can be done anywhere. Ninja training involves seeing one's environment in a new way and imagining the potential for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its many different features.
Our Ninja program is a method of physical training that develops one's ability to overcome obstacles (both physical and mental). It involves movement that will help if one is in a reach or escape emergency situation. Underlying this program is our desire to encourage useful strength, self-improvement, knowledge and self-confidence.

Colin Goerdt
Ninja Program Director
Colin comes to us from the renowned Illinois State Gamma Phi Circus in Bloomington-Normal, bringing with him all the fun and excitement that not even three rings can contain! Combining five years as a circus performer with more than five years mastering Parkour, Colin blends show-performance skills with free-flowing movement over, around, and under obstacles of all shapes, materials, and kinds. His philosophy of "When you find your limit, take a deep breath and leap past it!" excites his students to do things they never thought were possible. Besides, who else would you trust with teaching your child how to have fun jumping out of second story windows?
